Armadillidium Japanese Magic Potion

These guy’s are a species that’s native to Japan, Magic Potion isopods have some really cool, orange and yellow hues. They do best in a medium humidity with good amounts of ventilation. Magic Potion isopods have medium amounts of mancae, from our experience. We feel they seem to do best with pecan or oak leaves, and places to hide, such as rotting wood and/or cork bark. We feed ours a combination of carrot slices, minnows, and fish flakes. If you are going to feed them fish flakes, freeze them for 24 To 48 hours to kill any mites that could potentially affect your enclosure. Armadillidium vulgare Magic Potion isopods are a really good breeder, once they are acclimated and feeling good about their environment.
